Canyon Springs is a central neighbourhood in the city of Coquitlam, below Scott Creek and Westwood Plateau, right beside the Downtown area. Its borders are Pinetree Way, Guilford Way, Johnson Street, and David Avenue.
It features many detached homes, together with townhomes and condos. The best thing about this area is that it has easy access to everything. Canyon Springs has access to busses that go directly to Lougheed and Coquitlam Station. The closest skytrain station is at Douglas College Station within one kilometre, and many of the homes of the area are within walking distance. Most homes are within walking distance from a bus stop. The skytrain line runs through to Coquitlam Station, Port Moody, Burnaby, and may locations throughout Metro Vancouver.

This area features a man-made lake, a walking trail, various fields (both natural and artificial) for soccer, football, lacrosse, and softball, as well as a skate park and a playground. The City Centre Aquatic Complex, in Pinetree Way, has activities for adults and children and a wave pool. Other activities for the whole family, including synchronized and competitive swimming, as well as various fitness programs.
Coquitlam’s most travelled streets are the streets that border Canyon Springs, where you can find a variety of conveniently placed townhouses and condos. The inner streets offer more private residential and detached homes that have access to the large greenbelt that runs through the inner neighbourhood. Regarding crime, the area has an average and below average crime rate.

All in all, the neighbourhood is hard to beat, and it is not only highly livable and has comfortable access to commerce and retail areas, but also because of the local services like strong start programs daycares, and community centres. It is still far enough away from the mall and businesses that it is not right in the middle of all the mayhem.
