The downtown core also presents two sporting facilities: the BC Place Stadium and Rogers Arena (which used to be GM Place. Rogers Arena is home to the NHL’s Vancouver Canucks. The BC Place Stadium houses the BCLions and the MLS’s Vancouver Whitecaps FC.
Downtown’s transportation access and choices are unparalleled. The Granville and Georgia transportation centre will take you anywhere in the Lower Mainland. Furthermore, the Skytrain Station provides the residents with access to any place east of Downtown. The Canada Line Station will take you to Richmond and the Vancouver International Airport. There are also a lot of bus routes: Granville Station provides bus access to any and all destinies south of the Downtown, while Georgia Street will provide access to all the northern points.
The Downtown is one of Vancouver’s fastest changing neighbourhoods. There are always new opening, new lofts, new restaurants, and new areas. Change has always been a part of Vancouver, and Downtown is emblematic of its rich history.
